Environmental Policy

At Troulos Bay Hotel we understand that our actions have an impact on the environment. We are therefore committed to reducing our environment impact and to ensure we are operating in a sustainable manner.

 

The Troulos Bay Hotel environmental commitment:

  • Comply with all applicable environmental legislation

  • Minimise our waste and then reuse or recycle as much of it as possible.

  • Minimise energy and water usage in our buildings, vehicles and processes in order to conserve supplies, and minimise our consumption of natural resources, especially where they are non-renewable.

  • Respect the nature and the local environment by using eco-friendly products and support the local community

 

Our actions for a sustainable future:

  • Conserve Energy. In order to reduce our energy consumption we have installed energy saving lighting in all rooms and public areas as well as energy saving systems (key cards) in guest rooms.

  • Reduce Waste: We have set a recycling program in order to reduce waste and encourage our staff and guest to recycle as much as possible.

  • Water Saving: we commit to reduce our water consumption in 2014 by installing flow restrictors in taps and showers in our guest bedrooms. We have installed a water sufficient watering system for our gardens.

  • Reducing carbon emissions. We have reduced our fuel consumption by using renewable energy (solar panels for hot water).

 

The Management of the hotel is committed to support this policy. It will be monitored to ensure it is effective and will be regularly reviewed and revised as necessary.
